Trauma-Informed Somatic Coaching

Somatic coaching sessions are body-based trauma-informed, skill-building practices, designed to reconnect you to your inner strength and healing capacity through close attention to bodily sensation, and connecting to ecological, spiritual, and ancestral resources.

PLEASE NOTE: These sessions are not a replacement for medical or psychotherapeutic treatment. Rather, they are designed as adjunct spiritual, emotional and somatic support for your existing treatment plan. If you are currently experiencing a medical emergency, call 911. Sessions are intended to be:

  • somatically inquiring: we will pay attention to physical sensation as the primary map which provides information about the challenge at hand and potential resources

  • emergent and experiential: we will explore sensations of the body with an open-handed sense of curiosity; there is no agenda for any one person’s experience and one size does not fit all

  • grounded in gentle inter-spiritual animist prayer and ritual

  • trauma-informed and choice-based: we work in a way that offers invitational access points to rediscover one’s own unique path to wellness through consent and compassionate relating

  • creative and co-creative
